The utility parts are food-grade stainless steel, patented and made in the USA; the rings on the bottle stoppers are FDA-compliant, and winery approved.

 

Hardwoods from the United States and around the world that are highly grained and figured, and burls are best for turning, but we do use some unusual materials, such as banksia pods and resin-stabilized woods. 

 

(A burl is a growth that results from a tree undergoing some stress, usually underground, not found until the tree dies, falls over, or is otherwise taken out.  It typically has no grain pattern.)
